Description
The cooperative winery of L'Espluga de Francolí, designed by Pere Domènech i Roura, son of Lluís Domènech i Montaner, was baptized by Àngel Guimerà as "the cathedral of wine": it is the first of the great Catalan modernist wineries and the model that the works of Cèsar Martinell would later follow.
Today the building houses the Wine Museum, a journey through the wine culture of the Conca de Barberà: the vineyard, the grape harvest, the production and the life of the farmer around the winery.
