WINE PATHS ON THE COSTA DAURADA

Near the historic castle of Selma, the vineyards of the D.O. Penedès caress an educated landscape during the Middle Ages. A top proposal to savor wines with more than two thousand years of history!

Inside the monastery of Poblet, a World Heritage Site, you can visit the old monks' winery, where wine was historically made for the community. Now, however, it is not vinified in the monastery. However, when you arrive at the monumental complex you will see a sea of vineyards surrounding it. Enjoy it, breathe in its peace and also savor the wines that will offer you to taste with the guided tours of the wineries located in this place of the Conca de Barberà.

The designation of origin also preserves a route of modernist wineries in L'Espluga de Francolí, Montblanc, Sarral, Rocafort de Queralt or Barberà de la Conca. Escape there and discover the wines they make with the native variety of this DO: Trepat. You will surely be surprised.

The essence of the Mediterranean is transmitted by the wines of the DO Tarragona. Did you know that the Romans imported them all the way to the capital of the Empire? Well, yes, and since then the wines made under the umbrella of the DO Tarragona are unique, fresh and with aromas that will take you to the wine landscapes caressed by the marinade.

We invite you to taste them in unique territories such as the Alt Camp, where you will find the modernist winery of Nulles; sheltered by the sanctuary of Montferri or in the Tarragonès with vineyards very close to the coast in villages such as Salomó or Vila-seca La Pineda Platja. And in the Baix Camp we suggest you stop at the Alforja in the heart of the Mountains of the Costa Daurada.

When you arrive in Falset, olive groves and vineyards surround the capital of the Priorat, where wine is the essence of the region's agricultural activity. We suggest you discover the wines of the DO Montsant -the youngest of the DO-. In the denomination you will find modernist wineries such as those of Falset or Cornudella but we also suggest you enjoy and experience the wine tourism activities offered by its wineries, where wines of great quality are made.

The viewpoint of Mas Serraller, the Serra de les Gritelles or the north of the Serra del Montsant are unique places to enjoy and taste the wines of the DO Montsant.

The wine paths in the DOQ Priorat are historic and winding to skirt the vineyards and travel through small, very small towns, where wineries renowned around the world gather to produce wines where Carignan and Grenache convey the essence of a spectacular landscape. From the viewpoint of Torroja we invite you to see these vineyards in a setting that becomes idyllic; you can also do it from the hermitage of Sant Antoni, with Porrera at your feet.

The heart of the DOQ Priorat beats in the historic Carthusian monastery of Escaladei, a jewel that, little by little, is recovering its former splendor. Have you visited it?
