Discover the secrets of the Port while contemplating Tarragona from the sea
Departing from the Serrallo Fishermen's Wharf, discover the particularities of the Port of Tarragona aboard the swallow Tarragona Blau. You will be able to contemplate the city from the sea until you reach almost the end of the breakwater, passing through emblematic places such as the Lighthouse of La Banya until you reach the dock.
If the outing coincides with the fishing season, it also includes a visit to the fish auction that takes place every afternoon at the fish market.

The Serrallo, fishing identity, its own idiosyncrasy
It is one of the places with the most personality in the city. The Serrallo, built from the nineteenth century, is the fishing district of Tarragona. You will eat wonderfully, needless to say, in restaurants and ice cream parlours, and you will be able to walk around watching the boats that moor there, some of them very charming.
We also recommend a visit to the Port Museum, where you can delve into the history of this institution and see spectacular reproductions of old ships, and the route, from Los Tinglados, to the Marina Tarraco Port, where you can also eat and have a drink outdoors.
Two promenade proposals: the Lighthouse of La Banya and the footbridge of the Paseo Marítimo
We propose two options for a walk, both of which will allow you to contemplate the beauty of Tarragona. Firstly, a route to the Lighthouse of La Banya, which can be visited with prior reservation, on a route adapted to get there on foot, by bike or by scooter. On this itinerary you can enjoy the city skyline and the sound of the waves, which will lull you.
On the other hand, you can also choose to move from the maritime district to the promenade of the Paseo Marítimo, which connects with the Rambla Nova and the extraordinary Balcony of the Mediterranean.
A city to lick your fingers
The gastronomy of Tarragona makes it a fantastic city to lick your fingers. Of course, the taste of the sea stands out, with oily fish and rice dishes, and some typical preparations such as romesco. Without a doubt, it is a place to take advantage and enjoy with different proposals linked to the Mediterranean diet, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
To pair our meals, the DO Tarragona has wines that excel, and also routes through the wineries that will help us discover or rediscover the fascinating world of wine, and to understand it in its historical complexity, which will take us to the world of the ancient Romans.
